ABOUT
"I just want to introduce people to good food from Japan" - Okkon
Okonomi yaki is a traditional food originating from Japan that is essentially a savory pancake made with flour, mountain yam (a Japanese root vegetable) egg, cabbage, green onions, and a protein. Okkon Japanese Street Food is a husband and wife team that serves Osaka style okonomi yaki. The popup’s namesake, Okkon, is short for okonomi yaki, a phrase that young people in Hiroshima say. Okkon have added their own take by using local and fresh ingredients, grinding the mountain yam, and making homemade sauces.
